Douglasville Man Arrested With $3.7 Million In Cash

Thomas Shane Randler also had a stolen gun in his vehicle, Alabama authorities say.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — A Douglasville man is in jail after being arrested last week in Alabama with nearly $4 million in cash and a stolen gun in his car.

Thomas Shane Randler, 41, was arrested last Tuesday on Alabama's Interstate 22, senior state Trooper Reginal King told AL.com.

Randler was pulled over in a traffic stop at about 3 p.m. that day. A search of the Ford Express he was driving revealed $3.767 million in cash as well as a stolen handgun, King told the site.

A narcotics agent with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency made the arrest.

Randler is charged with second-degree receiving stolen property, AL.com reported.
