Douglasville Man Killed, Passenger Injured in Motorcycle Crash

The crash happened a little after 1 p.m. on Wednesday just south of Douglasville.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — A Douglasville man was killed and his passenger injured on Wednesday when his motorcycle ran off the road and struck a tree.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, Jeffery Pribbernow, 55, of Douglasville, was speeding on his Harley Davidson motorcycle at about 1:10 p.m. on Yeager Road, just south of Douglasville.

The bike failed to maintain its lane, ran off the left side of the road and hit a tree, the GSP said.

Pribbernow and his passenger, Gayla Gipson, 52, of Douglasville, were ejected from the motorcycle.

Pribbernow was declared dead at the scene and Gipson was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, according to the state patrol.
