Easter Weekend Weather: Warm and Sunny In Metro Atlanta

ATLANTA, GA — It looks like it's going to be a lovely Easter weekend in metro Atlanta.

There's not a drop of rain in the forecast for the next few days, and high temperatures will be hanging steady in the lower 80s. On Easter Sunday itself, forecasters are calling for a high of 81 degrees under partly sunny skies.

There's rain in the extended forecast, but it's not due in the Atlanta area until Monday, when the National Weather Service calls for a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9 a.m.

So get those Easter eggs painted, break out your best spring wardrobe and enjoy the holiday. Here's your weekend weather forecast for metro Atlanta, from the National Weather Service:

Thursday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 59.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. East wind around 5 m.p.h. Mostly clear Friday night, with a low around 59.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Southeast wind 5 to 10 m.p.h. Saturday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 60.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 81. Partly cloudy Sunday night, with a low around 61.
