Edith ‘Lorraine’ Wilkie, 79, Dies

Edith ‘Lorraine’ Wilkie, 79 of Acworth, formerly of Douglasville, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 24. Mrs. Wilkie retired with 30 years of service with Greystone Power. She was an avid artist, loved clogging, enjoyed travelling and was Baptist by faith.

Mrs. Wilkie was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Wilkie; and her parents, George and Myrtle Colbert Patterson.

She is survived by her children, Brenda Sills Holley and husband Paul Gardner, Laurie Sills Carroll and husband Patrick, Becky Wilkie Martin, Mike Wilkie and wife Whitney, Tony Wilkie and wife Chris, and Barry Wilkie and wife Sue; grandchildren, Tony Holley, Eddie Holley and wife Halley Billue, numerous other grandchildren; sister, Pat Farguson; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, Dec. 28, from 5 until 7 p.m. The funeral service will be Sunday, Dec. 29, at 2 p.m. in the Rosehaven Chapel with Reverend Wayne Bray officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
