Employee Shoots Suspect in Attempted Salon Robbery
The wounded suspect was captured by a K-9 unit behind Top Nails in Douglasville.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — An employee of a Douglasville nail salon shot an armed robbery suspect who was trying to hold up the store Wednesday night.
At about 8 p.m., two men entered Top Nails salon on Thornton Road, according to the Douglasville Police Department. At least one of them was armed with a handgun.
An employee of the salon exchanged gunfire with the robbers, who fled the store.

One suspect was captured in some woods behind the business by a police K-9 unit, Douglasville Police said. The suspect was suffering from a gunshot wound and was taken to an Atlanta hospital with what were believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
No employees or customers of Top Nails were injured in the robbery attempt.

The Douglasville Police Department and Douglas County Sheriff's Office were working Thursday morning to identify the second person involved in the attempted crime.
