DOUGLASVILLE, GA —Students in grades 3-12 across the state of Georgia will soon have a chance to show what they’ve learned so far this school year.

“We know that testing season can be a stressful time for students, parents, and teachers, but it’s also an exciting time in that students have the opportunity to demonstrate their mastery of the material they have studied,” said Douglas County School System Chief Academic Officer Pam Nail. “Teachers have prepared students all year for these exams. We appreciate any extra practice that parents encourage at home, and we especially want to emphasize how important a nutritious breakfast and a good night’s rest are to student success every day but especially during testing.”

Students will take the Georgia Milestones Assessment System (GMAS) End-of-Grade exam in Language Arts and Math in grades 3, 4, 6, and 7. In addition to those subjects, students in grades 5 and 8 will also be tested in Science and Social Studies.
