Epic Orators Hold Speech Contests and Membership Campaign

ATLANTA, GEORGIA, February 2, 2016 - As part of their two-month membership building campaign, the Epic Orators Advanced Toastmasters will conduct their 2016 Table Topics and International Speech contests on Monday, February 8, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at the Wolf Creek Branch Library in Atlanta, GA.  Contestants will compete to test their critical thinking and speaking skill.  The first place winner in both contests will represent the club at the upcoming area level, and potentially the division and district level contests.

“Toastmasters speech contests provide an opportunity for speakers to improve their speaking abilities and to recognize the best as encouragement to all” states Janice Andrews, DTM, club Vice President Education and Past District Governor for District 44 Toastmasters.  Distinguished Toastmaster Andrews went on to say “This special event also provides the audience an opportunity to learn by observing the more proficient speakers who have benefited from their Toastmasters training.”

Additionally, the Toastmasters membership building campaign ’Talk Up Toastmasters’ runs from February 1 through March 31, 2016.  Information about Epic Orators Advanced Toastmasters will be available to all guests, and anyone joining during this time will receive a special gift along with their membership materials. 

Admission to the speech contests on February 8 is free; refreshments will be served.
