Georgia Weather Forecast: A Warmer Weekend, With Chance Of Showers

In metro Atlanta, high temperatures are expected to hit 70 degrees on Sunday, but rain is a possibility.

ATLANTA, GA — Maybe General Beauregard Lee knew what he was talking about, after all. It might not be a full-on early spring, like Georgia's groundhog predicted, but this weekend's weather in the Atlanta area will feel like it at times.

High temperatures should edge up into the upper-60s and are even expected to approach 70 degrees on Sunday.

With the warmer weather, though, we'll also be looking at a chance for some showers. Rain will creep into some parts of the area late Saturday night, with a chance of some rain extending into Sunday night.
