More showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast for metro Atlanta this coming work week.

ATLANTA, GA — The weather this coming work week will be awfully similar to what we had this weekend in metro Atlanta.

There will be more showers and thunderstorms, with patches of sunlight in between. To get specific, Tuesday and Wednesday are forecast to be sunny and dry, while every other day this week will bring at least some chance of rain.

The high temperature is expected to be down in the upper-60s on Monday but should gradually ramp up during the week until highs are back in the 80s on Thursday and Friday.

Monday: Patchy drizzle with a chance of showers before noon, then a slight chance of showers after noon. Patchy fog before 9 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 67. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Monday night, partly cloudy, with a low around 55.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Mostly clear Tuesday night, with a low around 59.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 83. Mostly clear Wednesday night, with a low around 61.

Thursday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 81. Thursday night calls for a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64.

Friday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 84. A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday night. Partly cloudy, with a low around 65.
