'Go and Do' Conference Comes to Metro Atlanta
Featuring Don Everts, author of "Go & Do: Becoming a Missional Christian"

Submitted by First Presbyterian Church of Douglasville
Read through the Bible and you will discover that we are not meant to live safe, happy, successful Christian lives. Jesus calls us to something more. Don Everts, author of “Go and Do: Becoming a Missional Christian,” challenges Jesus’ followers to not settle for a life that will soon be forgotten. God’s mission is not something for “them,” somewhere over “there.” It is for us for us, here and now.
First Presbyterian Church of Douglasville and Christian author Don Everts invite you to get caught up in God’s mission in this world Saturday, January 24, 2015, at the Go and Do Conference. In this one-day conference, Everts will reveal what it means to be a missional Christian - to have eyes that see, hands that serve and feet that go. Together, we will explore personal evangelism, urban witness and global cross-cultural missions and learn how to live our lives on mission -whoever you are, whatever you do, wherever you go.

“What a joy it has been to watch my own church get more and more caught up in God’s work in this world. And what a surprise to see how God can use even someone like me to make a difference in my neighborhood, city, and world! God, it turns out, has always done it this way: getting his people involved in his wonderful work in this world. I’m praying that He uses this Go and Do Conference to do the same in believers and churches throughout the Atlanta area. Come and see, and you might just find yourself going and doing as well.” ~ Don Everts
“I’m very happy that our church gets to experience this conference. Donoffers a very practical and thoughtful way for Christians to be on mission wherever they go. Now is the time for American Christians to embrace a distinctive way of living that revitalizes the church’s witness to the world and I think Don’s conference will be a good place for all of us to start.” ~ James Harper, Pastor, First Presbyterian Church of Douglasville
