Graduating Seniors and Local Women Recognized
Local nonprofit organization recognizes graduating seniors and women in the community who serve as role models in their business fields.
Lithia Springs - Ladies In Waiting, Inc., a local Douglas County nonprofit, celebrates its 2nd Crown Jewel Debutante Scholarship Cotillion and Ladies of Distinction Awards. This event is geared to recognize graduating High School girls who have participated in the Ladies In Waiting, Inc. mentoring and youth development program and honor women in the community for their display of excellence in the fields of Education, Leadership, Business and Community Service. Participating Debutantes will also be awarded scholarship based on their program participation, community service and academic excellence. In addition, the following women are being recognized for their excellence as Role Models in their perspective careers, Rita Fasina-Thomas (Business/Entrepreneurship), Judge Barbara Caldwell (Leadership), The P.U.R.S.E. Foundation/Erika Lee (Community Serving Organization). Additional recipients announced during the Semi Formal event to be held on May 17, 2015 at 5pm at the Douglasville Municipal Event Hall, 2083 Fairburn Rd, Douglasville, GA.
