Two Chattahoochee Tech students from Douglasville, Dallas win $2,500 scholarships

Each year, GreyStone Power Corporation awards two technical college students who live in the co-op’s service area with the$2,500 Tim B. Clower Scholarship.
This year’s winners are Chattahoochee Technical College students Abisai Perez of Douglasville and Sally Wells of Dallas. Perez is in the Technical Specialist program, while Wells is in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
The Clower Scholarship is made possible by Operation Round Up, which is funded by GreyStone members who volunteer to round up their electric bills to the next dollar. Since 2000, more than $1.9 million has been raised by GreyStone members, providing severely needed funds to nonprofit organizations throughout GreyStone’s service area. Members who participated in Operation Round Up last year supported more than 40 nonprofit organizations.
