GreyStone Linemen Place Second Overall in Georgia Rodeo

GreyStone senior team also places second at annual event.

A team of GreyStone Power Corporation linemen won second place overall at the Georgia Lineman’s Rodeo, held at the Camp John Hope FFA-FCCLA Center in Marshallville, Ga.

Four teams of three-person journeyman linemen teams from GreyStone competed in the Georgia Rodeo, with all four teams earning perfect safety scores. Since no points were deducted for safety violations, the linemen were ranked according to the speed with which they completed four competition events. The team of Sam Albright, Charles Camp and Taylor Shadrix with coach Josh Kirby took the second place spot after competing against 21 other teams from across the state.

Another team of GreyStone linemen, which included Derek Carruth, Tim Costner and Jack Rider, with coach Matt Orr, won second place in the senior team division.
