Helen Templeton Argo, 75, Dies

Helen Templeton Argo, 75 of Douglasville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 14. She was born July 8, 1938 in Ft. Payne, AL., the daughter of the late Inell Templeton and the late Stella Mae Dobbs Templeton. She was a faithful member of Ephesus Baptist Church, where she was involved in many groups, including the Morning Glories. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her two daughters and a son-in-law, Sherry & Brian Gabioud of Buchanan; and Sheila Payne of Winston; sisters, Elaine McGruder of Jonesboro and Pam Templeton & Janis Reece of Acworth; brothers and sisters-in-law, Don & Jolene Templeton and Randall & Brenda Templeton all of Ft. Payne, AL; six grandchildren, Christina, Matthew, Elizabeth, Allison, Joshua, and Will; three stepgrandchildren, Chad, Brandon, Samuel; five great-grandchildren, Oliver “Buddy”, Westley, Kadence, Korben, and Rylee; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were conducted Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Ephesus Baptist Church in Winston with Dr. Billy Godwin officiating. Interment followed at Walkers Chapel Cemetery in Ft. Payne, AL.
