I LOVE 1st Showings

Yesterday, my afternoon appointment was a first showing. These clients I have been working with for a short while. The financing is in place and documented. This couple understands which loan product will work best for them and they are aware of the costs associated with purchasing a home. We have narrowed down exactly where they wish to live.  And finally, we have located a property they are interested in seeing.

It is very exciting for them and for me too!  We meet at the house and I can see the expectancy in their eyes. Each of us is wondering, “Will this be the house?”. Together we set out and look at the home from top to bottom and inside and out. We discuss the pros and cons of this property for this family. Great school district, spacious rooms…floor plan not as open as they would like, is there enough room for a small garden in the backyard?  We finish the viewing and discuss our next steps.

No matter how many buyers I have assisted purchase a home, I just LOVE the 1st showing with each of them. It is my chance to watch as people’s dreams come to pass. There is nothing like watching a family decide to become homeowners and walking with them each step of the way. “Is this their new home?”. I don’t know, but we are on the way to finding it!
