I’m Glad Today's Over, Reads Tripp Halstead's Mom's Funeral Post
"I'm certainly glad today is over," Tripp's mom Stacy said on the Facebook page that was once dedicated to following Tripp's progress.
JEFFERSON, GA — Tripp Halstead, the Jefferson boy whose family garnered support from across the Atlanta area five years ago when he suffered a serious brain injury from a falling tree branch that struck him, had his funeral March 18. He was two at the time of the accident, when his family lived in Winder, and was seven at the time of his death. The accident left Tripp in a coma for weeks, in a hospital for months, and in need of special care in the years since.
"I’m certainly glad today is over," Tripp's mom Stacy said on the Facebook page that was once dedicated to following Tripp's progress.
"As I was getting ready, I kept thinking “I am too young to be attending my child’s funeral,” she said. "But It was absolutely beautiful and perfect. Thank you to all those that worked so hard to make it so special. I am sharing with you the most personal aspect of the memorial service. I am so proud of Bill. He did amazing. Nothing else to say at the moment except Thank you. Love you all."
