James Homer McGinnis, 80, Dies
Funeral services will be conducted today at 3 p.m. from Hightower's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Johnny White officiating.

James Homer McGinnis, 80 of Douglasville, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29. He was born Oct. 28, 1933 in Talladega, AL., to the late Roy James McGinnis and Rose Wilkie McGinnis. He retired from Complete Auto Carrier in 1990 and was Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his loving wife, Dorothy Lou Prince McGinnis; son and daughter in law, Terry and Anita McGinnis of Palmetto; son and his fiance’, Perry and Monica McGinnis of Douglasville; grandchildren, Travis McGinnis of Douglasville, Derek and Amber McGinnis of Temple, Courtney Lamlonaire of Temple, Kaula and Brad Boemanns of Douglasville and Kerri McGinnis of Palmetto; eleven nieces and nineteen nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted today at 3 p.m. from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Johnny White officiating. Interment will follow in Douglasville City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David McGinnis, Jack Fortner, Richard Parson, Danny Cochran, Wayne Elrod, and Scott Baggett.
