Jimmy 'Pete' Claude Moore, 68, Dies

Jimmy “Pete” Claude Moore, 68 of Carrollton, passed away Sunday, Sept. 15. He was born on July 29, 1945 in Carroll County to the late Tom Moore and Myrtle Cook Moore.

Besides his parents, preceding him in death is a sister, Ruth Hand; and brothers, Freddie Moore, Tommy Moore, and Wendell Moore. Survivors include sisters, Nora Bishop of Douglasville, Mary Hull of Carrollton, Louise and Bill Moore of Florida, Opal Norton of Lagrange, and Melba and James Phillips of Newnan; brother and sister in law, Harold (Junior) and Brenda Moore of Heflin, Ala.; sister in law, Diane Moore of Lagrange; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Sept. 18, from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel. Interment followed in Tyus Baptist Church Cemetery.
