K of C Donation to Help Comfort Children Facing Tragedy

Douglas County first responders (Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Douglasville Police Department, and Douglas County Fire/EMS) were recently presented with stuffed animals donated by the Knights of Columbus Sweetwater Council.

The toys were donated to first responders as a means to comfort children who may be victims of a crime or accident.

This is the fourth year the Knights of Columbus has donated stuffed animals to first responders. The toys are certainly appreciated by the children, and are sometimes kept for years after they’ve received them. Special thanks also goes to Douglas County District 3 Commissioner Mike Mulcare.
