Kids Invited To Kids Law Enforcement Academy
The Kids Academy is free for children who will be in grades 5, 6, 7 and 8 for the 2018-2019 school year.
DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA – Villa Rica Police Chief Michael Mansour and Douglas County Sheriff Tim Pounds have again partnered for the free 2018 Kids Law Enforcement Academy. The Douglas County Board of Education is also partnering with the cause this year.
The academy will run from Monday, July 16 to Friday July 20. The location is Mirror Lake Elementary School. Each day's events will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 3 p.m. The Kids Academy is for children who will be in grades 5, 6, 7 and 8 for the 2018-2019 school year. Attendees must be a resident of the City of Villa Rica, Carroll or Douglas County side, or Douglas County and not have attended the academy in the past three years.
Applications will be available soon at the Villa Rica Police Department and Douglas County Sheriff's Office. All applications must be turned into either agency no later than Sunday, July 8.

For the comfort and safety of the children, parents and or guardians will not be allowed to be present during the academy. A special graduation ceremony will be held Friday, July 20, which is open for parents and guardians.
