Kim Marie Nitkowski Jones, 53, Dies

According to her wishes, following the funeral mass her body will be donated to the Emory University School of Medicine.

Kim Marie Nitkowski Jones, 53 of Douglasville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 12, at her residence following an extended illness. She was born Nov. 27, 1959 in Buffalo, NY., the daughter of the late Stanley J. Nitkowski, Jr. and the late Eleanor Sobocinski Nitkowski. She worked as an accountant for Precision Blasting LLC. Mrs. Jones was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Douglasville.

She is survived by her husband, John Douglas Jones of Douglasville; son, Scott Patrick Maryniak of Buffalo, NY; daughters, Brooke Ann Maryniak and Ashley Marie Maryniak both of Douglasville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Diane T. and James C. Dolan and Joyce M. and Paul Gunderman; brother and sister-in-law, Paul A. and Kimiko Nitkowski; father-in-law and  mother-in-law, Jack and Elaine Jones; and a number of other surviving relatives.

Funeral Mass was conducted Thursday, Sept. 19, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Douglasville with Father Cong Nguyen and Father Fernando Molina-Restrepo officiating. According to her wishes, following the funeral mass her body will be donated to the Emory University School of Medicine.
