Kuranda Beds are Big Hit at Shelter, More Beds Needed

Over the past month, Douglas County residents have been very generous in providing these beds to the Shelter, but more are needed.

Dogs and cats at the Douglas County Animal Shelter usually sleep on hard floors or cage liners which the staff try to make more comfortable with blankets.  A better solution, however, is a slightly elevated soft place for the dog and cat to
curl up. These beds keep pets comfortable and dry off the hard surface. The beds are easy to clean, are odor free, and last for years.

One brand name is Kuranda, and they are offering discounts to pet lovers who can donate these elevated beds to the Douglas County Animal Shelter for the shelter pets.

For more information on the beds and how to donate, please contact Liz Marino, Resource Officer, at 770-942-5961 or emarino@co.douglas.ga.us.
