Here's a look at what public institutions, banks, stores and others are doing on Monday.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — For most folks, Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer. School is back in session and, every once in a while, a cooler-than-normal day around this time reminds us that fall really is on the way.
This year, Labor Day is Monday, Sept. 4. Because Labor Day is a federal holiday, it means a day off work for a lot of people and no school for children. As such, many government and other services will be shut down for the day.
