Larry D. Eason, 71, of Douglasville

Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at Hightower's Memorial Chapel.

Larry D. Eason, age 71 of Douglasville, passed away, Thursday, August 28, 2014. He was born April 3, 1943 in Douglasville, to Eloise Davis Eason and the late Howard Wilson Eason. Larry and Brenda owned and operated a local family business for over 30 years. He was a member of the Prays Mill Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, Howard Wilson Eason, he was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Eason.

Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Brenda Hardy Eason of Douglasville; mother, Eloise Davis Eason of Douglasville; daughters and son-in-law: Laurie Eason Kaplan and husband Julian Kaplan of Boston, MA, and Kristi Eason Noble of Cartersville; grandchildren: Alexandra Kaplan and Davis Kaplan; mother-in-law: Betty “Granny” Hardy of St. Augustine, FL; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 30, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Pastor Josh Buice and Pastor Neal Beard officiating. Interment will follow in the Prays Mill Baptist Church Cemetery with Todd Eason, Jamie Eason, Julian Kaplan, Davis Kaplan, Chad Hardy and Chris Hardy serving as Pallbearers. Music will be provided by Danny Stovall and Brenda Singleton.

The family will receive friends, Friday, August 29, 2014 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home and also Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 1:00 PM until the service hour of 2PM.
