Last Chance for Golf Camp

Part of the PGA’s national program, Canongate Golf, which owns 23 golf clubs throughout Georgia, is hosting the Canongate Golf’s PGA Junior Golf League for children 13 and under at its .

Designed to better socialize the game for boys and girls, the League features a scramble format against other area golf clubs in a structured league that provides a popular, less stressful format than medal-play competition.  During the five-week season, teams will compete in four to six, nine-hole scrambles. All players will receive team jersey’s, golf balls and bag tags.

Registration is open until May 6 and the pricing for the Canongate teams are $165 for Canongate Members and $200 for non-members.

• This is the League’s second season.

• The League was created to introduce the game of golf to kids and offer a more socialized environment for them to learn the sport and play with other kids in their area.
• As part of the League, Canongate is hosting 18 to 23 teams at most of its courses in Atlanta, including teams at its Chapel Hills Golf Club.
• The season will run from Memorial Day through the Fourth of July and will consist of typically one practice per week and a match for each team.
• During the five week season, teams will play between four to six nine-hole scramble tournaments against other golf clubs in the area.
• The League’s scramble play is designed to offer a less stressful format than medal-play competition, giving players of all skill sets an equal opportunity to contribute to the team.
