Man Accused Of Child Molestation Arrested In Douglas Co.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Authorities on Wednesday say they have arrested a man accused of molesting a child in Douglas County.

Investigators have arrested Larry Sloan Jr. after accusing him of engaging in inappropriate sexual contact with a child, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities on Monday began investigating the case after receiving a referral from Child Protective Services, they said.

Sloan was additionally accused of engaging in inappropriate sexual contact with a woman.

He was arrested Monday and faces one count of child molestation and two counts of aggravated sodomy, authorities said.

"The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to thoroughly investigating allegations of crimes against children and holding those responsible accountable," authorities said in a news release.
