Man Found Dead In Douglasville Driveway

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — A man was found dead around 9:45 p.m. Saturday in a driveway in the 500 block of Warrenton Drive after reports of gunfire, according to the Paulding County Sheriff's Office.

The man was identified Monday as Joshua Mitchell, 37, authorities said.

The initial determination is that Mitchell died as a result of several gunshot wounds to his body, but the body is being taken to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy scheduled for later this week, authorities said.

A motive is unknown and there are no suspects, authorities said.

Warrenton is within the Abbington Subdivision in Douglasville, located in unincorporated southern Paulding County, authorities said.
