Mary 'Irene' Richardson, 81, Dies

Mary “Irene” Richardson, 81 of Carrollton, passed away on Monday, Nov. 4, at her residence. She was born Sept. 20, 1932 in Edwardsville, AL., the daughter of the late Eliga Kessler and Leina Newburn Kessler. She was a homemaker and a member of the Beulah Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Richardson and several sisters and brothers. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Rick & Nicole Richardson of Carrollton; sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie Jean & Howard Bradley of Bowdon; grandchildren: Jamie Richardson, Tad Richardson, Justin Stevens, and Jennifer Clark; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Bro. Shane Roberson officiating.

Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 until 7 p.m.
