Missing 81-Year-Old Man Found Dead In Douglasville
Winfred Bryson Floyd, 81, had gone missing from his Douglasville home on Monday afternoon, authorities say.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — An 81-year-old grandfather from Douglasville was found dead Tuesday after going missing from his home the day before.
Winfred Bryson Floyd, who is said to have suffered from dementia, had been the subject of a massive search after going missing from his home Monday afternoon. Douglas County authorities issued a Mattie's Call for Floyd early Tuesday morning.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office posted to Facebook shortly before 6 p.m. that Floyd had been located, thanking everyone who helped in the search and passed along information online.

Sheriff's office spokesman Sgt. Jesse Hambrick said Floyd's body was found within a mile of his home.
Floyd had been last seen in the area of Windy Valley Drive in Douglasville at about 2 p.m. on Monday. Windy Valley Drive is located between Highway 5 and Chapel Hill Road.
