Mrs. Adaleene Cook Turner, age 87, of Winston, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015. She was born in Atlanta on May 18, 1927, the daughter of the late Daniel Cook and the late Valley Frances Dickinson Cook. For over 28 years she was the bookkeeper for the Turner’s family business C & T Tire Co. in Douglasville. She was a member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church in Smyrna.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Robert Malvin “Bob” Turner of Winston; son and daughter-in-law, Gary Malvin and Jacqueline Turner of Woodland, AL; daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Ken Green of Winston; granddaughters: Tracy Mathis and her husband, Ron, Leslie Roberts, and Suzanne Burkart, and her husband, Vann; great grandchildren: Jamie Roberts, Cheyenne Washington, Alec Mattern, and Kenzie Burkart.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Bright Star United Methodist Church with Dr. Thom Shores officiating. The casket will be placed in the church at 10:00 A.M.

Interment will follow on Monday, March 9, 2015 in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
