Mrs. Annie Ruth New Seymour, age 83, of Douglasville, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015. She was born on March 17, 1931 in Villa Rica to the late John Monroe New and the late Annie Jane Williams. She was a homemaker and a fifty plus year member of Liberty Baptist Church in Douglasville. Annie Ruth was a former choir member, Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Teacher and a member of the Women’s Group.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Clayton “Junior” Seymour, Jr.; brothers, Bennnett New, Ernest New, Herman New, George New; sister Lucille Mann and son-in-Law, Marty Isberg.

She is survived by her son and his wife, Michael and Joan Seymour of Temple; daughter and her husband, Janice and Mike Waldrip of Douglasville, and daughter, Becky Seymour Isberg of Douglasville; sister, Faye Chambers of Villa Rica; 6 grandchildren, Matt Seymour, David Seymour, Kristi Martin, Greg Truitt, Leigh Anne Barry and Wesley Owen; 11 Great Grandchildren.
Services will be held at Liberty Baptist Church in Douglasville at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 19, 2015 with Reverend Terry Marbut officiating. The casket will be placed in the church at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow the service at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
