Mr. Grady Henry Thompson, Jr., age 68, of Douglasville, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015. He was born in Fulton County on October 14, 1946, the son of the late Grady Henry Thompson, Sr. and the late Frances Jewell Smith Thompson. He graduated from Douglas County High School in 1966. He was a stock clerk for Big Star for 23 years and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandparents: Callie and Sollie Smith and James Alfred and Dessie Lanay Thompson; and brother-in-law, Doyle Claxton.

Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Martha Thompson of Douglasville; sisters and brother-in-law, Frances & Milton Eugene Daniell of Douglasville and Patsy A. Claxton of Callahan, Florida; five nieces; three nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel.

Interment will follow in the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery with Tim Jones, David Tallent, Bryan Pirkle, Ryan Jordan, and Daniel Liles serving as Pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, February 17, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 P.M.
