Jean Allen, age 84 of Bremen, formerly of Douglasville, passed away, Monday, April 13, 2015. She was born January 21, 1931 in Atlanta, GA. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.

Survivors are her husband, Franklin Lamar Allen of Bremen; daughters and sons-in-law: Jeanie and Gene Bowen and Connie and Mike Hawkins; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law: Mary Chappell and Dot and Bill Rice; brothers: James Smith, Jr. and Don Smith.

She was preceded in death by her father, James E. Smith, Sr.; mother: Mary Smith; daughter: Doris Ann George and son, Perry Paul George III.

Per her wishes, she was cremated and a Memorial Service will be heldSaturday, April 18, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Central Baptist Church, 5811 Central Church Road, Douglasville, with Reverend Charles Gibbs officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 12 Noon until the service hour of 2:00 PM at the church.
