Johnny Lee Vaughn, Sr., age 63 of Tallapoosa, GA, passed away, Monday, March 16, 2015. He was born October 15, 1951 in Fulton County to the late Jessie Wesley Vaughn and Ruth Ethel Greer Vaughn. He had retired as Superintendent of the Cobb County Water System after his career of 31 years. He was a member of the Unity Baptist Church of Austell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Ruth Ann Smith and Margie Gunner.

Survivors are his wife of 45 years, Sandra Allene Ratley Vaughn, of Tallapoosa; children and their spouses: Johnny and Becky Vaughn, Jr. of Douglasville, Scottie and Brandy Vaughn of Douglasville, Saprina “Lula” and Robert Ball of Tallapoosa, Joshua “Bear” and Angie Vaughn of Douglasville, Dan Brock of Villa Rica; sisters and brothers-in-law: Louise and Jerry Toller of Mableton, Irma and David Chaffin of Marietta; brothers and sisters-in-law; Jerry Vaughn of Hiram, Timmy and Barbara Vaughn of Canton, Terry and Joyce Vaughn of Tennessee; 29 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 20, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the Living God’s Ministry with Rev. Terry Vaughn and Pastor Jackie Rich officiating. Serving as Pallbearers are: Bear Vaughn, Jason White, Josh White, Harley Freeman, Dan Brock, Johnny Vaughn, Jr. and Scottie Vaughn.
His body will be cremated following the service.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 18, 2015 and Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 5-9PM at the funeral home.
