Lenora Ophelia Ellis, age 89 of Douglasville, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015. She was born in Lithia Springs on August 3, 1925 to the late Hubert Wilson and the late Onie Harper Wilson. She retired after working 38 years from Simkins Industries and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Winston, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Herbert and Onie Wilson; an infant brother, John Wilson and sister, Rebeca Gilbert.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law; Helen and Waymon Parris, Annette and Jimmy Tippens; grandchildren, Tracey and Randy Howell, Philip Parris, James and Vickie Tippens, Wendy and Jay Randall, Chelita Tippens Rainwater; great grandchildren, Caleb Howell, Clay Tippens, Nicole Mahan, Delaney Mahan, Cheyenne Tippens, Adysen Parris, Andrew Howell, Cole Rainwater; sister, Mary Ellen Hames; nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at Liberty Baptist Church in Winston on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Joey Vaughn, Reverend Neal Beard and Reverend Doug Anderson officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Road Baptist Church Cemetery.

Clay Tippens, James Tippens, Philip Parris, Caleb Howell, Joe Hames and Roy Tippens serving as Pall Bearers.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 9, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
