Lib Timms, age 85 of Douglasville, passed away, February 9, 2015. She was born May 21, 1929 in Anderson, SC to the late John Herman Rouda and Lillian Marie Mayfield Rouda. She was the bookkeeper for Timms Mill, retired from Allied Carpet Co. and was a founding member of the Heritage Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her son, John Timms, sister, Dora Faye Nelson and brother, Errett Rouda.

Survivors are her husband of 66 years, Samuel “Sam” Merrell Timms; daughter and son-in-law: Janis and Rick Bryant of Douglasville; son and daughter-in-law: Jim and Lori Timms of Villa Rica; daughter-in-law, Vivian Timms of Douglasville; brother and sister-in-law: Herman and Mary Rouda of Lyman, SC, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Dr. Woodrow Hudson officiating. Music will be provided by Paul Blair. Interment will follow in the Rosehaven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends, Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
