Michael Ross McTyre, 46, Dies

Michael Ross McTyre, 46 of Villa Rica, passed away Friday, Oct. 25. He was born May 15, 1967 in Douglasville. Mr. McTyre worked with West Georgia Mechanical and was a member of Plumbers, Pipefitters & Service Technicians Local Union 72. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.

He is survived by his wife, Meredith McTyre; son, Matt McTyre; daughter, Miranda McTyre all of Villa Rica, GA; mother, Ginger McTyre of Douglasville, GA; father, Wayne McTyre and wife Elaine of Watkinsville, GA; brother, Scott McTyre and wife Maureen of New Georgia, GA; grandmother, Ruth McTyre of Carrollton, GA; nieces, Abby L’Hoste of Douglasville, GA and Grace McTyre of New Georgia, GA; nephews, Luke L’Hoste of Douglasville, GA and Jake McTyre of New Georgia, GA. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff McTyre.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, Oct. 27, from 4 until 7 p.m. A memorial service will be Monday, Oct. 28, at 3 p.m. in the Rosehaven Chapel with Reverend Michael Bovingdon officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. McTyre’s memory to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 3099 Chapel Hill Road, Douglasville, GA 30135.
