New Bike Shop Opens on Hwy 5

No matter the kind of bike you're looking for or the kind of advice you might need, Glen Slater, owner of the new Pro Bike Repair shop on Highway 5, is your man.

He's been tearing bikes apart and putting them back together since he was a kid and he said he's seen just about everything in the business throughout his 25 years of repair and sales experience.

Slater is proud to be the only full-service bike shop in Douglas County, specializing in both high-end bikes and bikes for the average guy or gal. As the name would indicate, Pro Bike Repair can handle bike repairs on all brands and types of bikes, from Huffy to the most exotic-made creation.

In addition to bike repair though, the bike shop also sells a wide variety of bikes, including road, mountain, comfort, kid, racing and junior racing. Each bike sold also includes a personalized bike fitting with every bike sold. Slater said the bike fitting is one of the most important and frequently over looked aspects of buying a bike. If the fit's not right, it will impact everything from comfort to the rider's health and willingness to get out and ride.

Pro Bike Repair also sells eye wear, apparel and anything for bikes you can imagine, including a lot of things most people don't even know exist.

The shop is open Tuesday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It's closed Sunday and Monday. The Pro Bike Repair website is currently under construction and will be available soon.
