Why charcoal? Charcoal is one of the most forgiving and easy-to- learn mediums, it’s fun, and it promotes creativity! Learn how to shade your drawings so that they take on a very realistic, 3 dimensional appearance. This class is designed for beginners through advanced students so bring youroriginal reference photos
and let’s start drawing!
In this class, students will learn the value of the “Gray Scale” with a prepared drawing provided for them to practice on. Students will learn to draw with white and black charcoal on white and black paper as well as experiment with the various ways to transfer your drawings to your char- coal paper. Students will be given several small projects in which to play and learn this medium and finally, students will draw along with the instructor on prepared final compositions.
