Noisy Action Movie Filming In Douglasville Wednesday

Explosions and a helicopter crash will be all Hollywood — not actual emergencies — on Wednesday in Chattahoochee Hills.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — If you hear explosions or see a helicopter crash you should probably call 911 — unless you're in Douglasville on Wednesday.

Authorities are letting the public know that an action movie is filming in the Chattahoochee Hills area. There will be a helicopter crash scene, complete with explosions, filed on Wednesday, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

"If you're in the area, please note that this isn't a real crash," the sheriff's office said in a social media post Wednesday morning.

The filming is expected to take place between 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

As Georgia and, particularly, metro Atlanta have become a hub for Hollywood productions, Douglasville has seen more than its share of movies and television shows using local spots to film.

"Stranger Things," "Hunger Games," "The Walking Dead," and "The Founder" are just a few of the productions at least partially filmed in the Douglasville area.

Authorities did not say what movie will be filming in Chatthoochee Hills. Currently, several blockbusters, including Marvel films "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Ant-Man and the Wasp" are filming in the Atlanta area.
