Online Sex-for-Money Ad Nets 13 in Prostitution Sting

Douglas County investigators used an Internet ad offering sex for money to arrest 13 people in a prostitution sting operation this week.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release after receiving numerous complaints about prostitution, it’s Special Investigations Division posted the ad Feb. 6-7, which included a phone number to call.
“Numerous suspects called the phone number listed in the online ad, and arranged to meet with agents for the specific purpose of purchasing sexual acts. When these suspects arrived at the room, they were arrested for Pandering,” the office said in a news release.

The sheriff’s office will continue to investigate as more complaints are received.
