Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident in Lithia Springs

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is seeking witnesses who saw what happened on Thornton Road Saturday morning.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a suspected hit-and-run driver who killed a pedestrian Saturday morning in Lithia Springs.

The office said on Facebook a man was walking northbound on the side of the road on Thornton Road when a vehicle struck him between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. The man died at the scene.

The man was identified as Robert Stoskopf, 67, the Douglas County Sentinel reported.
