Police Seek Man Who Beat Elderly Man With Wooden Spindle
He approached the man, asked him a question, then started swinging.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the man responsible for beating an elderly man with a wooden spindle last month.
The office said in a news release a man approached the elderly man from behind and asked him a question before beating him until the spindle broke. After that, he continued to assault the elderly with his bare hands before fleeing on foot.
The incident occurred between 5:45 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 15 in the area of North Quail and MacDuff Drive, near Yeager Road.

The suspect is described as:
- White male
- Clean shaven, no facial hair
- Balding with short brown in color hair
- No glasses seen
- No visible jewelry
- No visible tattoos
- No shirt description
- Last seen wearing camo shorts
- Height between 5-9 and 5-11
- Approximately 175 pounds
- The subject is in his late 30s or early 40s
- The subject spoke with no obvious accent
