Ralph Lee Bivens, Sr., 84, Dies
Funeral Service will be held today at 2 p.m. from Hightower's Memorial Chapel with Dr. Billy Godwin officiating.

Ralph Lee Bivens, Sr., 84 of Douglasville, passed away, Thursday, Nov. 14. He was born May 31, 1929 in Powder Springs, to the late Howard Vista Bivens and Cora Pauline Proctor Bivens. He was a retired machinist from Lockheed Aircraft Company, now known as Lockheed-Martin, following 39 years of service. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, Douglasville.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of nearly 60 years, Gladys Martha Cook Bivens, on August 25, 2009; his brothers: Lawrence Bivens, Warren Bivens, Gene Bivens, Wayne Bivens; sisters: Reba Hardy, Hazel Hulsey and Mary Faye Jennings; sister-in-law: Ruth Morgan.
Survivors are: his daughters and sons-in-law: Brenda and Thomas Camp of Douglasville, Pauline and Jimmy Ingram of Dallas; son and daughter-in-law: Lee and Tammy Bivens of Douglasville; grandchildren: Joshua Bivens, Stephen Bivens, Jacob Bivens, Mike Camp, Shelley Camp, Derek Camp, Matt Ingram, Cody Ingram, Dana Ingram Rogers; six great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Frank and Marie Cook of Woodstock; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held today at 2 p.m. from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Dr. Billy Godwin officiating.
Interment will follow in the Cheatham Hill Memorial Park, 1861 Dallas Hwy., Marietta, GA with Mr. Bivens’ grandsons serving as Pallbearers and his granddaughters serving as Honorary Pallbearers.
