Retiring Schools Superintendent To Be Honored With 'Puttin' on the Pritz'

"Puttin' on the Pritz," will honor retiring schools Superintendent Gordon Pritz and feature performances by more than 125 students.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Retiring Douglas County Schools Superintendent Gordon Pritz will be sent off with a night of live performances in his honor.

At "Puttin' On The Pritz," set for May 18, more than 125 students from all five Douglas County high schools will do theatrical and song and dance numbers in honor of Pritz, a performing arts fan.

Acts will include scenes from "Mary Poppins," "The Fifteen Minute Hamlet," "Hairspray," "Bring It On" and more.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. at the New Manchester High School Theater, at 4925 Hwy. 92 in Douglasville.

The community is invited to the performances, as well as a post-performance dessert reception. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. All proceeds will benefit the fine arts programs at the five high schools.
