Ronald Earl Twilley, 74, Dies

Ronald Earl Twilley, 74 of Douglasville, passed away Thursday, Nov. 14. He was born on Nov. 16, 1938, in Thomson, GA., the son of the Sara Ethredge Twilley and the late Thomas Jefferson Twilley. Mr. Twilley received his degree in Art from the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, FL. He was a Commercial Artist having worked for the former Type Designs, Inc. Banta in Atlanta until his retirement. He was a member of the Crusselle-Freeman Church of the Deaf and attended Dorsett Shoals Baptist Church. Mr. Twilley touched many lives through his ministry as an Evangelist.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Billie Jacqueline Newton Twilley of Douglasville; daughter and son-in-law, Susan T. and Henry Ernest Garner of Villa Rica; mother, Sara Ethredge Twilley of Thomson, Georgia; grandchildren, Heather Ann Garner, William Thomas Garner, and MASR Henry Owen Garner.

Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, Nov. 18 at 11 a.m.from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel in Douglasville.

Interment will follow in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens in Thomson, GA., at 3 p.m.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, Nov 17, from 3 to 8 p.m.
