Here’s an updated post:

Someone is cold calling various citizens of Douglas County saying that he is Mr. Jackson or Sgt. Jackson with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, and advising the people that they have a warrant for their arrest for failure to appear for jury duty. This is a SCAM phone solicitation. Subject states they have information on you such as your address, name and date of birth. Complainants are advising that this subject sounds very convincing and that he even gives them a phone number to call and someone else answers that phone. Unlike other scams, this subject does not ask for the payment to be put on a pre-paid credit card. Instead, he asks for the victim’s own debit or credit card information. DO NOT give this information out over the phone no matter how convincing the caller sounds.
