Search Continues for Missing Douglas County Teacher

Family and friends said it’s not like Larry Bolen to be gone so long without telling someone.

Bolen, a teacher at Alexander High School in Douglasville, has been missing since May 8, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, which issued a missing person alert Wednesday.

Bolen, 62, was ready to retire at the end of the current school year, WXIA-TV reported.

“They say he’s never been gone for over two days without contacting them,” Douglas County Sheriff’s Lt. Glenn Daniel told the TV station.

The sheriff’s office said in the alert that Bolen is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 220 pounds. He was last seen at his home in Douglasville.

He is believed to be driving a green 1993 Oldsmobile Silhouette minivan with the Georgia tag number PJT8801.
