Once again, the City of Villa Rica will be hosting their annual Gold Nugget Drop to ring in the New Year on Dec. 31 from 10 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. at The Mill amphitheater in downtown Villa Rica. The MILL is located at 106 Temple Street. The event is free and will go on rain or shine. This year, the headlining act for the "City of Gold" is Departure-The Journey Tribute Band. Those who attend are asked to bring a lawn chair, picnic basket and non-alcoholic beverages to this event. No smoking, vaping, tents or pets are allowed at The Mill.
