Shane’s Rib Shack Opens

The new Shane’s franchise location is locally owned and operated by Villa Rica native Ben Eidson. This is the third restaurant operated by Eidson and he is also the operator of the Shane’s Rib Shack locations in Newnan and Peachtree City.

“I've spent most of my life in the Douglasville area and I am very excited to have the opportunity to open the Douglasville location in my own backyard.  I look forward to serving delicious BBQ, ribs, chicken, and home-style sides in a family-friendly atmosphere to the people of Douglasville and surrounding communities,” stated Edison.

Shane’s Rib Shack was founded in 2002, in rural McDonough, Georgia by Shane Thompson. It is now recognized as one of the nation’s fastest growing fast-casual restaurants. Shane left behind a comfortable corporate job and started a new restaurant with his grandfather’s secret BBQ sauce recipe and a desire to feed people the food he loved in a whole new way. Earlier this year, the original Shane's Rib Shack celebrated it's 10th anniversary of serving it's delicious barbeque. Shane’s Rib Shack is also well known for the ability to cater almost any size event with a customized menu based on the customer’s needs.
